Come To The Water

Pastor Kevin Rutledge - 12/14/2025 10:00 AM

This Sunday we light the Joy candle and listen to one of the most beautiful invitations in Scripture:
“Come to the waters… Come, buy and eat… Listen, so that you may live.”

In a world filled with noise, pressure, and scarcity, Isaiah 55 offers a radically different vision—a feast of grace freely given, a life grounded not in what we can earn but in God’s abundant love. Pastor Kevin will explore how God’s presence brings joy that is deeper than emotion, rooted in the promise that God renews, restores, and refreshes our weary spirits.

We’ll reflect on:
  • Joy as God’s gift, not our achievement
  • The radical welcome at the heart of Isaiah’s invitation
  • How God brings life to places within us that feel tired, dry, or empty
  • What it means to find our delight in God during Advent

Join us for inspiring music, meaningful liturgy, and a message that invites you to experience the joy of God’s abundant presence. Whether you’re returning to church or exploring faith for the first time, you are welcome here. Come, find rest. Come, find joy. Come to the waters.

Scripture:

  • First Reading: Isaiah 55:1-13
