Prelude
Welcome
Call to Worship
Leader: Come, beloved of God, to a mountain high and holy!
People: We come seeking light in the midst of shadows, hope in the midst of weariness.
Leader: The disciples were sleepy, but they awoke to see Christ in glory.
People: Open our eyes, Lord, that we may see Your presence among us.
Leader: The voice of God declared, “This is my Son, my Chosen; listen to Him!”
People: We come ready to listen, ready to awaken, ready to follow.
Leader: Then let us worship the Lord who calls us from slumber into new life!

Prayer of Confession
Merciful God, We confess that we have fallen asleep to Your presence. We go through the motions of faith without truly seeking You. We let distractions dull our awareness, fear keeps us from trust, and routine keeps us from transformation.
Like the disciples on the mountaintop, we have been drowsy when we should have been awake. Forgive us, Lord. Shine Your light upon us. Wake us up to Your glory, so that we may follow Jesus with renewed hearts and open eyes. Amen.
Words of Assurance
Leader:
Awake, O sleepers, and rise, for Christ has shined His light upon us!In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven, restored, and made new.
God’s mercy is greater than our weakness,
and His love awakens us to new life.
People: Thanks be to God, who forgives us and leads us into the light!

Praise God, from Whom All Blessings Flow UMH 95
Offertory Prayer
God of grace and abundance, You have given us all that we need and more than we deserve. Awaken in us hearts of gratitude and generosity. As we offer these gifts, we offer ourselves: our lives, our talents, and our devotion. Bless and multiply our offerings, that they may be used to spread Your love, lift the downtrodden, and proclaim Your kingdom on earth. In Christ’s name, we pray. Amen.
