Is Christ Divided?

Pastor Kevin Rutledge - 10/25/2026 10:00 AM

Christians have never agreed on everything. From the earliest days of the church, differences in beliefs, loyalties, and leadership have threatened to divide the community of faith. Writing to the Corinthians, Paul asks a challenging question: “Has Christ been divided?”

As we begin our new series, "One Body, One Lord," we'll explore how our divisions affect our witness to the world. John Wesley once asked, “Though we cannot think alike, may we not love alike?” What if the most powerful testimony we could offer isn't that we always agree, but that we continue to love one another even when we don't? Together, we'll consider what it means to be united in Christ and how that unity can help the world see the love of Jesus.
