Engaging Your Athens - 05/03/2026
In Acts 17:16–31, Paul walks into a city full of idols—and instead of withdrawing or attacking, he pays attention, builds a bridge, and points people to the one true God. This follow-up sermon explores how God calls us not only to the people we’d never choose (Acts 9), but also into cultures, conversations, and spaces that feel far from faith. We’ll see how Paul models a posture of deep concern, careful listening, and courageous clarity, and we’ll ask: What does it look like for us to engage our modern “Athens”—our workplaces, online spaces, and everyday relationships—so that unknown gods become known in Jesus Christ?
