Barbara Ann Stockler (née Hough) passed away at her home in Berwyn, Pennsylvania on September 10, 2023 after a long battle with cancer.
Barbara is survived by her dear friend and husband, Jonathan; her beloved daughters, Melanie (Karl) and Laura; her granddaughter, Everly; and her sisters, Linda (Eric) and Carol (Thomas). She is predeceased by her father, Donald, and mother, Shirley (née Peters).
Barbara was a graduate of Conestoga High School and Pennsylvania State University, and an alumnus of L’Université de Dijon in Dijon, France. She built a career that allowed her to travel the world – a lifelong passion which she pursued into her retirement. She found great joy in music and the arts, and cared deeply about education and animal welfare, supporting these causes in the greater Philadelphia region.She will be remembered for her love of her family and friends, who miss her deeply.
Services for Barbara will be held on October 21, 2023. Interment will take place at the Philadelphia Memorial Gardens in Frazer, Pennsylvania, beginning at 12 noon, with a celebration of life to follow at Berwyn United Methodist Church at 1:30pm. All who knew and loved her are welcome to attend.
