Order of Worship for Sunday, April 12th 2026

Leader: When fear closes the doors of our lives,
People: Christ comes and stands among us.

Leader: When doubt clouds what we can believe,
People: Christ invites us to come and see.

Leader: When we are unsure of what comes next,
People: Christ breathes peace and sends us forward.

Leader: The risen Christ is here among us.
People: We receive his peace and rejoice. Amen.

Gracious and patient God, we confess that we do not always live as people of the resurrection. When new life is breaking around us, we remain guarded. When hope is rising, we hold on to fear. When Christ stands among us, we fail to recognize him. Like the disciples who saw the empty tomb and still locked themselves in a room out of fear and doubt, we too hesitate. We struggle to believe.

We want proof before trust, and answers before faith, and certainty before we take the next step. Forgive us. Forgive us for mistaking doubt for distance from you. In the quiet of this moment, hear the silent confessions of our heart as we see your mercy.

People: Christ speaks peace into our lives, meets us where we are, and calls us forward in faith. Thanks be to God. Amen.

Gracious God, you come to us in the midst of our fear and speak peace into our lives. Receive these gifts as signs of our trust, even when we do not see the whole picture. Use them to bring hope where there is uncertainty, to open doors where there is fear, and to send your people into the world as bearers of your grace. In the name of the risen Christ, we pray. Amen.
