Palm Sunday Breakfast & Easter Basket Service Project
This year we are celebrating Palm Sunday a little differently by combining worship, fellowship, and service.
Our morning will begin in the sanctuary with a short time of worship and the reading of the Passion Narrative as we enter into Holy Week together. After worship, we will move to the fellowship hall where a free breakfast will be served.
Following breakfast, we will work together as a church and community to assemble Easter baskets for children served through Methodist Services in Philadelphia. This is a simple and meaningful project that people of all ages can participate in, making it a wonderful way for families, friends, and neighbors to serve together.
In the weeks leading up to Palm Sunday, we are collecting items to help fill the baskets, including:
- Wrapped candy (no loose candy please)
- Activity books or puzzle books
- Small toys
- Basket grass
Thanks to the generosity of our church community, many items are already coming together. Our food pantry is donating toothbrushes and toothpaste, and additional supplies like crayons and coloring books have already been purchased.
If you plan to join us for breakfast and the service project, we simply ask that you let us know how many people are coming so we can plan accordingly.
Together we can share the joy and hope of Easter with children who need it most.
