Church & Community
Interfaith Hospitality Network
The Interfaith Hospitality Network maintains the mission,
"to temporarily house homeless people in a caring environment and support them in accessing
community resources including child care, education, transportation and jobs".
A network of Main Line community churches and synagogues work together to provide
temporary night lodging and meals for homeless women, their children, and families.
While our church is not a host, we have
supported this program with meals and evening supervision for over ten years.

The Guardian Angel program provides a caring touch and link to BUMC
for our college youth, including undergraduate, graduate and
overseas students. Students are enrolled
in the program by their parents. A secret "Angel"
sends cards and small items to the student and
prays for him or her during the
academic year. Signup forms are available in the church office..REACT Collections
On the first Sunday of every month (Communion Sunday at Berwyn),
we will be collecting boxes of cereal and/or bottles of juice
for Valley Forge REACT. Valley Forge REACT is a non-profit
organization which receives and distributes donated food to
people in need. REACT gives food to 60-80 families per month.
75% of these people are senior citizens and the remaining 25%
are families with young children.

Interested in providing care to seniors in their homes? Visiting
Angels has paid jobs available for caregivers to provide in-home
care for seniors. Duties will include assistance with hygiene,
meals, and light housework. Call 610-924-9663 to schedule an

persons who see care giving as a position of compassion
