Vacation Bible Camp: July 14-18, 2013
Operation Overboard

Berwyn UMC hosts Vacation Bible Camp each summer. 

Children from age 4 through fifth grade are invited to attend the BUMC Vacation Bible Camp at the church from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. 
Sunday-Thursday, July 14-18.

Everywhere Fun Fair takes children to a global celebration with the look and feel of a world’s fair. Children will make friends with neighbors around the world and discover that God’s love can be found everywhere, including their own neighborhoods. Children will be introduced to special places from all over the world and discover that we are all neighbors and all children of God.

Here is a sneak peak at the themes and Bible stories we will be exploring:

  • Sunday - Friendship Phrase: Neighbors are friendly. Kids will meet their neigbors in Japan and learn the story of Sarah and Abraham. (Genesis 18:1-14 & 21: 1-3)
  • Monday - Friendship Phrase: Neighbors are giving. Kids will meet their neighbors in Zimbabwe and learn the story of the widow who gives cheerfully. (1 Kings 17:7-16)
  • Tuesday - Friendship Phrase: Neighbors are bold. Kids will meet their neighbors in the United Kingdom and learn the story of the Good Samaritan: (Luke 10:25-37)
  • Wednesday - Friendship Phrase: Neighbors are forgiving. Kids will meet their neighbors in Australia and learn how Jesus forgave Zacchaeus. (Luke 19:1-10)
  • Thursday - Friendship Phrase: Neighbors are welcoming. Kids will meet their neighbors in Mexico and learn how God welcomes everyone. (Acts 10:1-43) 

A light supper will be served each day.
