Wednesday Morning Bible Study
For the 2009-2010 Wednesday Morning Bible Study, we are embarking on a new adventure, and it will be a learning experience for us all as we study the bible from Genesis to Revelation exploring some themes that impact our lives on a daily basis. We know that God’s Holy Spirit is our Teacher and Guide, and we trust in God as we study. We are invited to keep in mind a few of the questions listed below from Dick Murray’s book “Teaching the Bible to Adults and Youth”.

• What do these passages tell us about God?
• What do these passages tell us about women and men?
• What do these passages tell us about the relationship between God and human
    beings?
• What insights did you get into the people and the passages?
• What did you feel in each role?
• What elements are the same or different in the biblical setting and in the
    twenty-first century?
• What meaning do the passages have for today?
• As twenty-first century people what do we say to the passages?
• How does God address us in these passages?
• What claim do these passages make on me?

The method of in-depth Bible Study is used which involves looking at words, phrases, sentences and paragraphs and plumbing the depth of what they are saying to us. This will be an exciting time as we study the word of God; as we grow and mature in our faith; as we expand our knowledge of the Bible and as we apply the word of God to life and daily living. Please come and join us. We will love to have you with us.

Please bring a bag lunch so that we may have table fellowship afterwards.

Disciple Bible Study
"If you make my word your home, you will indeed be my disciples."
- John 8:31

The DISCIPLE Bible Study program is designed to develop a ministering community which is nourished by disciplined reading of the scriptures. Disciple Bible Study meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month at 7:15 PM in the Library.

During the 2008-2009 year we are focusing on second half of the 32-week study "Under the Tree of Life." Scriptures include the Gospel of John and Revelation. Please joining us in this exciting adventure.

New members are always welcome. Pastor Poncé, Nancy Atchison, and Elaine Parvin are the class teachers.

Shared Study Group

Hebrews 1:1-2: "Long ago God spoke to our ancestors...., but in these last days....by a Son".

Are you looking for a friendly Bible Study? The SBS (Shared Bible Study) Class reads the Bible to seek God's Word, deepen faith, and rebuild spiritual confidence.   Questions and discussions are many.

The Shared Bible Study Class is studying the New Testament Book of Hebrews. If you are concerned today about the possible irreversible dangers of global warming, destruction that could be caused by world wide bioterror and nuclear attacks, and the pressures of being peacemakers in a violent world, there is much to learn from Hebrews.

The key focus on Christ and His superiority to all heavenly beings and world leaders, its emphasis on faith in what cannot be seen, its insistence that covenants and contracts really matter are all critical issues of faith today.

Walk-ins are welcome as we read and discuss Hebrews.
We meet in the Shared room next to the Pastor's Study Sundays@ 9:15.

Study materials are provided.
