About Berwyn United Methodist Church

Berwyn has two worship services on Sundays; an early, abbreviated service in addition to the primary mid-morning service. We have quality infant and child care the entire Sunday morning.

There are Christian education classes for pre-school age children through High School. We offer a variety of adult bible study, prayer and discussion groups, both on Sunday mornings throughout the week.

The Berwyn congregation is open to new forms of worship and has established programs for exploring them, although the primary Sunday worship service remains primarily traditional in format.

We like to sing. Choir, music and musical programs have been an area of strength, congregational unity and fellowship. We have children’s and adult choirs that are open to all.

Berwyn United Methodist Church has been recognized as a "Certified Welcoming Congregation." Earning this recognition designates BUMC as one of an elite group of churches across the United States that have been certified as Welcoming Congregations. This certification, part of the United Methodist Igniting Ministry program, celebrates and recognizes the efforts of local congregations to prepare actively and intentionally to receive newcomers.
